Dear Colleagues and Friends

It gives us great pleasure to invite you to participate in the forthcoming 18th Mediterranean Meeting of Child Neurology, in conjunction with the 5th Fred J. Epstein International Symposium on New Horizons in Pediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neurofibromatosis, Dead Sea, Israel, March 18-22, 2012.

We firmly believe that combining these two meetings will provide an excellent forum for discussion and exchange of ideas amongst professionals in the fields of pediatric neurology and pediatric neurosurgery.

The program will be of a high scientific quality and incorporate a wide range of topics on key areas of child and adolescent neurology, including management of spasticity, high cognitive function ADHD/LD, perinatal neurology, movement disorders, epilepsy, neurofibromatosis, palliative care and pediatric neurosurgery.

Six specific workshops will form the core of the scientific program. In each, a leading specialist in a particular field will give a keynote address, followed by other invited oral presentations. Participants wishing to present at the meeting, are invited to submit posters for review, which, if accepted, will be displayed throughout the meeting.

Perpetuating the spirit of ongoing dialogue between international neurologists and neurosurgeons for the advancement of pediatric neurology established by the Fred J. Epstein International Symposiums, one full day of the Meeting will be dedicated to the 5th Fred J. Epstein International Symposium on New Horizons in Pediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neurofibromatosis.

The meeting will also afford ample time for discussion and social interactions with colleagues, in particular at the Get-together Reception and the Farewell Dinner.

The Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, is an area rich in natural, archaeological and biblical history. The pleasant climate and magnificent natural landscape provide the ideal setting for our Meeting.
